To register for this class, click on the 'Pay Now' button...

Please choose which option you would like...

Hi all! i have had requests to do a class based on 3D & Fantasy design to prepare Nail Artists for competitions.
With the Sydney comps approaching we thought it a good idea to get a class in before then with time to spare. We have set dates for a class in Melbourne on the 29th & 30th of May.

I will provide the tips to work on and you will need to bring along your design brush, art brush for fine details, sculpting brush, white acrylic powder, monomer, dappen dish, brush wipes and color acrylics.

By the end of the two day class all attendees will have completed a full design with a 3d wolf and a fantasy Red Riding Hood and the background. This class will be a fantastic opportunity to learn what you need to do for a competition in either 3d or fantasy.

We will provide morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea and a Certificate.

The cost of the class will be $300.

For ONS Ambassadors (in the making) this class can be transferred over as an equivalent to the two day class Ambassador Program 3d & Fantasy Class - without the kit at $300, or with the kit $350 (kit is valued at $319.90). If you choose this option you will receive the ‘ONS Ambassador Program’ Certificate.

To register for this class please contact Kylie 03 9338 1444 or kylie@vividnails.com.au or click on the above 'Pay Now' button

Singapore/Malaysia Class...

I have just returned from a trip to Singapore where I was invited to co-train at the ‘ONS Extravaganza Design Sculpture Workshop’ with Catherine Wong, my SUPER talented dear friend and partner in crime or should I say clumsiness!!!
;-)))

Once again, it was an amazing experience and I can comfortably say that visiting Asia is one of my most favorite trips abroad. Aside from the beautiful nature of the people, what astounds me the most is how humble they are. This is no exaggeration as some of the most beautiful and creative art comes out of Asia. In saying this, you could be sitting next to a Nail Artist who has won multiple awards and if you had a look at her work it is so complex and diverse you are not sure where to start and each time you look at it, you discover something new! However, not once does she mention her accolades or boast her skills, she is there in a class to learn, she is the student that is so passionate and keen to up-skill and absorb with 150% dedication. An admirable quality that makes being with these people a memorable and enjoyable event each and every time!

With approximately 50 or so people there, including educators, staff & attendees, the room was buzzing! We had two huge screens with video so that everyone could see the demonstration clearly. I covered the morning and demonstrated an ultra long stiletto with a wolf’s face created out of acrylic and an eagles face with leaves etc surrounding the design. Catherine took over in the afternoon and created a zebra design using gel and a gorgeous racoon’s face with acrylic and then she used gel to decorate the surrounding nail. The attendees worked on tips, fantasy forms, themselves and some used a sculpture form attached to a bottle. The results were amazing especially seeing each of them include their own personal touch to their design making the experience of seeing all the different pieces exciting.

A special ‘Thank you’ to Stephy and her beautiful sisters and of course her Dad, for having me and surprising me with the stunning plaque! and also a huge ‘Congratulations’ on such a wonderful Class and Event!

Catherine and I then had the opportunity to take a day out to play!!! And boy did we have fun! I am not talking about the Casino, Pedicures, Massages, Tiger Beers…..no, that was another day! I am talking NAILS! We sat down and created our new poster themed Dragon & Pheonix using all ONS products (including some of the new colors yet to be released!) We were like two kids in a lollie shop!!! I hope you all like the results as we had a great time creating them!

Nail Olympics - London UK

NAILED IT
Nail competitors convene at Olympia
For the 5th annual Nailympics London event
The Nailympics London 2009 hosted by Olympia Beauty enjoyed 23 nations in 180 competition seats this autumn.
For the first time Cyprus, China, France and Australia were represented widening its already massive global presence.
2009 saw the first Team Trophy awarded. There were six teams in all – Team ONS Finland, Rome Nail Academy, Victory Company Russia, Team Hungary, Nails & Beauty Italy and Comp Team Sweden. The clear winner was Nails & Beauty Italy accruing 1116.5 points over the event.
A more unusual mix of nations with Europe seeing more competitors than ever before meant that winners were seen from regions that have not enjoyed so much success before. Sweden, Hungary, Russia, Italy, Finland, Holland, Switzerland, Latvia, the UK, France, Cyprus and Belgium all triumphed with Australia and Japan also taking home medals.
The hand-picked international judging panel was an exquisite mix of expertise from the USA, Holland, Italy, Sweden, the UK and Switzerland, while the MC for the awards was a real treat. Co-founder of the original Nailympics competition in the USA, David Daniel, stepped up to the microphone to congratulate each winner while inspiring with his message of the importance of nail competitions and the power of professionalism in the nail industry.
While the world struggles inside a global recession, the nail world was alight and on fire this autumn. In 2008 the Nailympics London had one sponsor, Scratch magazine. The 2009 event was given whole-hearted support from five nail companies: LCN UK (Beauty Concepts Int), Entity UK (The Beauty Partnership), Akyado Switzerland, Essie UK (Perfect Nails), Nubar UK (Palms Extra) as well as Scratch and Gloss magazines.
“This event is firmly embossed on the global nail industry calendar. Every year I am overjoyed to see new faces from new nations and delighted to see people returning to compete, showing the power of its growth and its reputation,” enthuses organiser, Alex Fox.
“To find such strong sponsor support during difficult times as well as techs themselves travelling far and wide to be a part of the event is incredibly exciting for the Nailympics team that has worked on this fantastic industry experience for five years.
“Long may this competition reign as a benchmark of skill, auditor of talent and arbiter of professionalism. The Nailympics London brings a wealth of nail professionals together for a weekend like no other; dexterity, flair, creativity and expertise are just four reasons why this event is so magnificent.”
